Dopo i Golden Globes, la stagione dei premi è entrata nuovamente nel vivo con l’annuncio delle nominations agli Oscar 2021: Laura Pausini e Pinocchio di Garrone in corsa per l’Italia.
La pandemia globale non ha fermato la corsa agli Oscar, che nella notte tra il 24 e il 25 aprile raggiungeranno la loro 93esima edizione. Le candidature, annunciate da Nick Jonas e Priyanka Chopra, includono anche l’Italia, ufficialmente in corsa per la statuetta. Dopo la grande vittoria agli ultimi Golden Globes, Laura Pausini viene nominata agli Oscar per la miglior colonna sonora con “Io Sì“, mentre nella categoria per i migliori costumi e il miglior trucco abbiamo “Pinocchio” di Matteo Garrone. Grande escluso, purtroppo, “Notturno” di Gianfranco Rosi, anche dal Miglior documentario.
Questi Oscar 2021 saranno probabilmente l’edizione dei record, contando la presenza di ben 70 donne in nomination e due registe: Emerlad Fennell per “Promising Young Woman” e Chloe Zhao per “Nomadland”, che risulta essere anche la prima donna a ricevere quattro nomination nello stesso anno.
